Master of Business Administration, Finance Concentration

The Master of Business Administration with a Finance Concentration degree program at Bellevue University prepares students for management roles in an international economy and emphasizes community service and ethics. Students choose from in-class and online program formats, and the degree is designed both for students who desire management careers and those who desire to run their own businesses. The program requires 39 hours of courses including an initial three-course sequence designed to help students develop critical thinking and oral and written communication skills. Students in the Finance concentration select a minimum of nine hours of courses from Cash Management, Risk Management, International Finance, and Investments. Bellevue has also introduced an e-portfolio requirement into its MBA curriculum to display projects from the student’s courses that illustrate student mastery of top business concepts.

College of Business Administration

Founded in 1869, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) enrolls more than 24,000 students including over 19,000 undergraduate and more than 4,500 graduate students. Master of Business Administration, Finance Specialization

UNL’s MBA with a Finance specialization degree program emphasizes team building, leadership, ethics and problem-solving. Students choose from a flexible part-time program, a full-time program or an online program. The program requires 48 hours of courses, and full-time students can earn their degrees in under two years while part-time students with full-time jobs take three to four years to complete their degrees. Program prerequisites include Calculus and Statistics, and the curriculum for the first year of the program teaches students business fundamentals. Students complete 30 hours of core courses including topics like Introduction to Business Strategy and Financial Accounting plus 18 hours of electives. Students desiring a Finance specialization must select three courses from among Multinational Financial Analysis, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets and Financial Institutions and Options, Futures and Derivative Securities.
