Grossman School of Business

Striving to deliver graduates with strong professional, technical and entrepreneurial skills, the University of Vermont has a top notch business department built to train students to excel in all three areas. Master of Accountancy

Recently refocused, the MAcc degree program provides thorough education on business communication, career development, ethics and research. It is with great thanks to the small classes involved that there is such a high CPA first time pass success rate of 83 percent as reported in 2013. The Master of Accountancy degree program involves 30 hours of coursework, which is completed in less than one year running from August through May. However, there is also the Accelerated MAcc option for students looking to enroll in up to 9 credits of MAcc classes as a second semester senior.

As students reach graduation from the Macc degree program, graduates demonstrate a solid knowledge of accounting. Graduates are fully equipped for success in public accounting firms or corporate accounting. Being skilled enough to choose public or corporate accounting aids to the 91 percent of UVM graduates being employed full-time within a year of graduation.
