Fortunately, there are a number of ways in which future MBAs can lower the cost of their master’s degrees. Strategically choosing a university and a degree program is one way. Another way is to pursue the degree online. That’s where Master of Finance comes in. We went on the hunt for the most affordable MBAs in Finance that students can complete entirely online, from anywhere in the world and at their own pace. 

Because our ranking focuses on the most affordable, we considered only the overall cost of earning an online Master of Business in Finance degree. We began by making a list of every four-year university offering just such a degree program. Then, we researched each one to determine the total number of credits needed to graduate, plus the per-credit tuition cost for an out-of-state student. To narrow down our list to the 30 most affordable, we multiplied credits and tuition to come up with an estimated program cost. The 30 most affordable are highlighted below. 

#1. Fitchburg State University

Topping our list of the most affordable online MBAs in Finance is Fitchburg State University. The Massachusetts-based university offers an MBA in Accounting which can be completed entirely online. The degree consists of 30 credit hours. Required courses cover topics ranging from accounting information systems to advanced managerial accounting. Typically, students are able to complete the degree in just one year.
