Texas A&M International University Accreditation Details

In 2015, Texas A&M International University submitted to an in-depth institutional evaluation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to renew the Level V accreditation for 10 more years under its sixth president, Dr. Pablo Arenaz, a Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Fellow. Based 1,112 miles east in Decatur, this large 11-state Border Region accreditor is authorized by the U.S. Education Department to check the suitability of TAMIU’s 63 baccalaureate, 24 master’s, one doctoral, and 13 certificate options. The A.R. Sanchez Jr. School of Business also joined 800 elite colleges accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) on October 26, 2017.

Texas A&M International University Application Requirements

Getting into Texas A&M International University was labeled “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s after 3,854 of the 7,762 Fall 2017 applicants were okayed for 49 percent acceptance. First-year Dustdevils storming into the Bachelor of Business Administration must meet the Texas Uniform Admission Standards with a college-prep high school diploma. Ranking in the top 40 percent of one’s class waives minimum test scores. However, lower 60th percentile and GED recipients must achieve at least 980 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT. Undergrads need cumulative GPAs above 2.0, but the mean is 3.64. The A.R. Sanchez Jr. School of Business seeks post-grads with 3.0 GPAs or better in the last 60 bachelor’s credits. Admitted MBA students present a median 430 GMAT score. On average, GRE results are 145 verbal, 143 quantitative, and 2.6 analytical writing. Eighty-eight percent have work experience averaging 61 months. Foreign graduate entrants must prove English fluency with a 79 TOEFL, 6.5 IELTS, or higher mark.

Texas A&M International University has BBA deadlines of July 1st for Fall, November 1st for Spring, April 1st for Summer I, and May 1st for Summer II. The Master of Professional Accountancy considers candidates until April 30th and November 30th. Tuition and Financial Aid

For 2018-19, Texas A&M International University is charging in-state Bachelor of Business Administration majors $8,637 annually full-time. Non-resident tuition in the Accounting or Finance Concentration is $22,258 by year. Living at the Laredo campus’ dorms like University Village adds $8,416 for room and board. TAMIU suggests leaving $1,201 for books, $358 for transport, and $1,398 for personal needs. Annual bachelor’s attendance equals $20,010 in-state and $33,631 out-of-state. Graduate School programs are billing $6,045 in-state yearly. Non-resident graduates pay $14,375 every nine months full-time. However, the Online MBA in International Banking & Finance specifically costs Texans $335 and non-residents $973 per credit or $10,074 to $29,208 total.

The Mexican Tuition Waiver lets non-citizens pay lower Texas prices. FAFSA forms coded 009651 judge financial need for Federal Pell and FSEOG Grant money. Likewise, the TASFA application unlocks state programs like the Texas Public Educational Grant, Opportunity Grant, and Fifth Year Accounting Scholarship.
